GEOxyz docks in Leith
As you know, the AGR team relishes every opportunity to visit the vessels we supply crew members for; however, they are usually far afield. Recently, several members of our team seized the chance to visit the Geo Ocean III because it was docked in Leith, Edinburgh, which is very close to our UK Headquarters.
It was a particularly exciting visit, as ten crew members either joined or left the vessel.
These placements involved exceptional coordination and a thorough vetting process to ensure that each recruit was qualified correctly and well-prepared for the unique challenges of offshore work. The smooth onboarding of these individuals was a testament to our commitment to excellence and our ability to meet the demanding staffing needs of our key partners. By aligning the right talent within critical roles, we are proud to contribute to the efficiency and safety of GEOxyz operations. Our new crew members are from diverse locations, including Malaysia, Mexico, India, Indonesia, and the UK.
The Geo Ocean III will be conducting geophysical survey work for the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) HVDC electricity transmission link in a contract awarded by the National Grid. This was in development with Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission PLC.
The AGR team were on hand for the boarding to present our recruits with their very own AGR-branded backpacks. They were greeted by some familiar faces within the new crew. Both Zurihan Mamat from Malaysia and Oziel Gonzalez of Mexico joined for their 12th trip through AGR.
