Job Description

  • Utilize specialized geophysical techniques, including seismic reflection and refraction, gravity, and magnetic surveys, to explore and characterize subsurface geological formations for hydrocarbon potential.
  • Operate and interpret data from advanced equipment such as 3D and 4D seismic imaging tools, well logging instruments, and remote sensing technologies to identify oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and reservoir engineers to design exploration strategies and drilling programs based on subsurface data.
  • Use specialized software for seismic data processing, interpretation, and visualization to produce detailed subsurface models and maps.
  • Evaluate the structural, stratigraphic, and lithologic features of reservoirs to assess resource volumes and optimize extraction strategies.
  • Perform integrated studies by combining seismic data with well log, core, and production data to enhance reservoir characterization.
  • Conduct geophysical surveys to support offshore and onshore drilling activities, ensuring accurate well placement and reduced geological risks.
  • Provide technical input for the planning and execution of exploration and development projects, including seismic acquisition and reservoir monitoring campaigns.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reservoir stimulation techniques, such as hydraulic fracturing, using geophysical data.
  • Manage data acquisition campaigns, including seismic surveys and electromagnetic studies, ensuring quality control and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide geophysical insights for decision-making in field development planning, production optimization, and exploration block bidding processes.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all exploration and development activities adhere to environmental and safety standards.
  • Offer onshore support to offshore operations by addressing technical queries and troubleshooting geophysical challenges in real time.
  • Continuously evaluate new geophysical technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in exploration and production activities.
