AGR Appoints Specialist Tax Expert to Support Finance Team

Advance Global Recruitment (AGR) has recently bolstered its global finance division through the appointment of a specialist Tax Manager, Kirsty Wheeler.

Kirsty is joining our Aberdeen office with considerable experience in both tax and the energy sector, bringing her expertise to the team headed up by Finance Director, Mark Scott. As our new Tax Manager, Kirsty will be heavily involved in the payrolling process for AGR personnel across the globe and ensuring that candidates are paid correctly based on tax in their respective countries.

As a global organisation, the new role of Tax Manager allows AGR to have more specialist oversight on its payroll processes across our personnel and candidate base. The added benefit of Kirsty’s experience working in the energy market will allow her to integrate quickly and easily into the team.

Kirsty had this to say about her appointment to the role:

“I’ve had a really warm welcome from the team with the chance to spend time in the Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Dubai offices. I’ve joined at a really busy and exciting time for the business and I’m looking forward to working with the team to support our clients as they undertake new projects around the globe.”

Kirsty joining us is just one of the new developments for AGR in Aberdeen. We also recently relocated to a new office in December 2021 and since returning from the festive break our staff have been busy settling into the premises.

This move affords the Aberdeen office with an upgraded workspace to accommodate our plans for the gradual expansion of our team, of which Kirsty has been the first new hire. AGR is committed to continually improving its service for candidates and clients, a core part of which is scaling to meet demand for specialist roles or additional support.

Our CEO, Stuart Hunter, had this to say about Kirsty joining the company and the future plans for AGR in Aberdeen:

“I am delighted to welcome Kirsty Wheeler to the AGR team in Aberdeen. Being a global organisation means that we have to meet specific payroll requirements in every country our candidates are in. Having someone with Kirsty’s experience as part of the team means we can now provide a smoother process for our candidates and internal personnel alike. She brings a wealth of knowledge that will be invaluable for the organisation, not to mention being an all-round excellent addition to the team. We hope she is settling in well and look forward to working with her in the weeks to come.”

AGR specialises in the supply of skilled personnel to the global energy market. We’re continually looking to the future to present candidates the best opportunities available, as well as providing clients with the right personnel to meet their ever-changing requirements.
