Assistant Cargo Supervisor

Advance Global Recruitment Ltd is keen to speak with any available Assistant Cargo Supervisors for a project In Guyana. This job will be a permanent position. Candidates must be in possession of the following:

• Officers In Charge of a Navigational Watch on Ships of 500 Gross Tonnage or More, with at least 3 years’ experience as OOW on tankers/LPGLNG. VLCC experience preferred. DCE
• Understanding of Permit to Work systems; Mechanical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment and COSHH.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum of A2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
• Medically fit according to Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore

Responsibilities:

• Prepare for start-up Start and Shutdown Cargo Operations
• Prepare to Start Marine and Cargo Operations
• Start-up Marine and Cargo Operations
• Monitor and Maintain Marine and Cargo Operations
• Prepare and shutdown Marine and Cargo Operations
• Isolate, Maintain and Reinstate Cargo Systems
• Operate under PTW and Isolation Certificates and conduct toolbox talks.
• Assist with Confined Space Entry, Inspection and Maintenance Activities.
• Test Isolations for integrity to Company Procedures.
• Confirm that the working area is free of hazards as per Permit or procedure using appropriate tests (gas/H2S Inert, etc.).
• Communicate effectively.
• Perform maintenance activities within limit of responsibility and training.
• Perform De-isolation; testing and re-instatement of plant are carried out according to procedure.
• Monitor And Maintain Pollution Control Measures
• Ensure that unplanned discharges are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation.
• Deal with equipment, waste or other materials for disposal according to the correct procedure.
• Emergency Response
• Carry Out Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
• Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.
• Other Duties
• Understudy Cargo Supervisor and take over when required
