AGR Senior Client Consultant Allana Black was delighted to be asked to visit the Floatel Victory semi-submersible accommodation and construction support vessel in Las Palmas.

AGR have partnered with Floatel for over a year now, supplying quality competent personnel for various on going global projects. Floatel International Ltd was established in late 2006 with the intent to own and operate the most modern, safe and reliable Floatel fleet in the world. Allana was welcomed by the Floatel team, with whom she has become very close with during the time they have worked together.

 

At AGR we are fully focussed on building relationships with both our clients and candidates. This has become more difficult during the pandemic with the reduction in any face to face meetings however it was great for Allana to actually meet both AGR personnel who are working on the Floatel project and staff from Floatel in face to face meetings. Whilst saying this COVID regulations were still very much in place with regular testing ensuring everyone’s safety, masks had to be worn and crew also operated a one-way system throughout to minimise contact and traffic. Everything felt very safe, and for anyone who knows Allana she was still smiling……..as usual!!

At AGR, we pride ourselves on learning as much as we can from clients, candidates and the energy market as a whole. So much was learned from the First Engineers, Safety Officers, DPO’s, HR and Management. Allana was eager to learn about the installation itself. Seeing where the Engineers, Motormen, Able Seamen, DPO’s and Crane Operators work was very beneficial.

Allana is constantly challenging herself to learn more about the energy sector and is currently studying a post grad in Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law at Robert Gordons University. Her experience and knowledge within this sector was clear to see, fitting in perfectly with the Floatel team.
