Electronic Technician

Our client is looking for an ET to mobilise ASAP for a jack-up rig.

 

Responsabilities: 

  • Knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with offshore work and importance of TRA’s, TbT, PtW and other regulations, procedures and checklists ensuring safe operations.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements, conventions, and other authoritative institutions concerning offshore work and electrical/electro-technical systems.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management System, Emergency response procedures, related systems and the functionality of fire-fighting and other safety equipment.
  • Practical, electrical and technical knowledge of the construction, functionality, maintenance and required certification of the vessel, marine (mechanical and electrical) installations and associated systems, and understands their influence on workplace safety.
  • Basic theoretical knowledge on electrical and electro-technical systems associated with (hydraulic, pneumatic) machinery, automated control systems, power electronics, instruments, alarms, power distribution and other electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting on (electronical/electrical) equipment, and safe isolation of equipment prior to maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of the maintenance principles on electrical and electro-technical equipment (including navigational and high voltage) and associated safety precautions and material properties.

Rig Mechanic

Our client requires a Rig Mechanic for their rig in the North Sea. Applicants must have semi-sub experience. 

 

Responsabilities


  • Repair and maintain all vital machinery aboard the rig.
  • Safely maintain topside main diesel engines, pumps, valves, HVAC-R equipment, Rig Air system and the rig Fuel system to ensure uninterrupted drilling operations.
  • Record and retain physical records of all work performed on the rig, including the efficient documentation of records.
  • Cross-collaborate with various departments aboard the rig to ensure all necessary drilling equipment functions properly.
  • Efficiently maintain an evolving record of all chemicals necessary aboard the rig while ensuring chemicals are stored in proper locations based upon Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Professionally operate in harsh conditions while ensuring projects are completed on time and exceed company expectations.

Rig Electrician

Our client requires a Rig Electrician. Applicants must have jack-up experience, valid North Sea certifications and a valid CompEx.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shall provide for preventive, routine and non-routine maintenance and for the repair of the electrical equipment and machines and of the related control boards.
  • Ensure that all reporting routines are followed and that all equipment related paperwork are carried out within his area of responsibility, such as maintenance records, updating of service and instruction manuals, instructing procedures, etc. 
  • Keep the stock of spare parts and consumables for the equipment of his/her responsibility at the appropriate level by verifying the stock levels and reporting to his/her superiors the deficiencies taking in consideration future maintenance requirements and delivery time. 
  • Monitors the reliability of spare parts utilized.
  • Supervise the disassembly, loading, unloading and assembly of the power plant and electrical devices and equipment. Be familiar with all classification society and authorities rules and regulations applicable to his/her area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all orders and instructions received verbally or in writing are fully understood and adhered to.
  • Be safety conscious in all his work and use compulsory protective equipment; 
  • Ensure he/she is familiar with all applicable work and safety procedures, and promote implementation of same.
  • Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper investigation is carried out, precautions have been taken the equipment have been properly isolated from the main switchboard, the circuit breakers are locked, warning signs are posted and the “work permit” has been signed. 
  • Instruct all personnel assigned to him/her of their duties and responsibilities and of any special safety precautions to be taken prior to start-up of any work.
  • Ensure that personnel working under his/her supervision as well as him/herself carry life vests and safety lines when working in exposed area or in around the moonpool.
  • Promptly report all accidents, near-miss accidents, Non-Conformances and safety hazards to his/her immediate superior.
  • Participate in safety meetings and safety drills held on board.
  • Carry out his/her duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan when needed.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in his/her working areas.

Responsabilities

  • Align pipes and secure its foundation and connection to the other pipes.
  • Set up pipes and transporting drills and service rigs on the lower deck or under land surface.
  • Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, pumps and drilling mud systems, and mix mud chemicals, cements and additives.
  • Read gauges to monitor pressure, density, rate and concentration and adjust pumping procedure as required.
  • Calculate the dense and volumes of oil and mud
  • Recording mud density and volumes.

Crane Operator

Experienced Crane Operators required for Ad Hoc work in the North Sea. Candidates MUST have jack-up experience. 

Responsibilities:


  • Assist planning of work for deck crew before work commences
  • Assign work to employees and ensure they are competent to fulfil their duties
  • Contribute to the effective execution of mechanical lifting operations
  • Operate Cranes in accordance with company procedures, agreed plans and manufacturers' recommendations
  • Ensure cranes and all associated lifting equipment are used in accordance with manufacturers specifications and lifting operations manual
  • Monitor and maintain rigging loft
  • Assist maintenance and servicing of cranes, associated components and lifting equipment in accordance with plans, procedures and maintenance schedules
  • Prepare handover reports for supervisor and relief, and advice the latter verbally of current, past, and impending operations
  • Supervise, provide guidance and feedback to deck crew members
  • Liaise with supply vessel staff
