Our client have a requirement for a Survey Rep to travel to Qatar for a Pipe-Lay/Jacket Installation project in mid October.  The client have also asked that the ideal candidate be a fluent Italian speaker.  A strong background in Survey Representative projects, using Eiva, is also essential.  The candidate should also hold the following:

  •  Valid Passport
  •  Valid Seamans Book
  •  Valid Offshore Medical
  •  Valid FOET/BOSIET

Responsibilities

  • List of tasks, actions and processes performed by the employee holding this position and within his/her sphere of personal responsibility – not involving continuous participation by colleagues, line manager and / or subordinates
  • Be accountable for the safe and proper execution of the installation contractors surveying activities;
  • As offshore survey client representative, you will have day to day responsibility for monitoring the installation contractors’ survey activities on the contractor vessel/s on behalf of Company. This will include pre-lay, as-laid and as-built surveys; installation and post installation operations; subsea structure installation; survey spread and equipment mobilization; LBL array(s) installation and calibration for metrology;
  • Read and understand the Scope of Work and all relevant Company documentation;
  • Read and understand the subsea installation contractors’ Project Execution Plan, HSE Plan and QA Plan;
  • Review all relevant subsea installation contractor produced installation and survey procedures;
  • Verify operational status of any survey equipment, and contractor survey vessels;
  • Conduct QA/QC of the survey data collected on a daily basis;
  • If required, and if no dedicated Company HSE representative is available, act as a Company HSE representative during offshore field work;
  • Report all HSE incidents and / or near misses. Alert the Construction Manager if any risks arise or deviations are indicated during execution of the work;
  • Produce daily reports and advise Construction Manager of progress and planning using daily work sheets, if required;
  • Attend meetings as and when required;
  • Ensure subsea installation contractor executes the survey activities to full client satisfaction, in accordance with all relevant procedure and the management of change process are followed correctly;
  • Monitor competence issues with team performing the work at site;
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations;
  • Monitor the safety and efficiency of operations;
  • Promote excellent safety performance with project team and contractors through active contribution and risk management processes at all times.
  • Input for constructability reviews, HIRA, readiness reviews and general pre-mobilisation tasks;
  • Complete tasks reasonably assigned by line manager within own competence ;
  • Strictly comply with Company’s Policy on Combatting Corruption and all relevant procedures of Company in Vietnam in the implementation of the Policy;
